I first got into double bass playing when I bought my first bass
for £5-00 from a t-shirt shop in my home town of Worcester,
at the age of fifteen. I had a few basic lessons from a friend at school
and learnt the rest from listening to records by, Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran
and the Stray Cats. However it wasn't until my ex-driving instructor
offered me a place in his big band, "The Ken Bruno Big Band" in 1991
that I took bass playing seriously. From there I have played in various combo's from Jazz, Rock'n'Roll & Rockabilly in which I enjoy.

I have an intensive touring and recording history, taking me all over the UK, Europe and the USA, not to mention Orchestral theatre work.
